Join Meg Jordan of Restore Earth Connections for an introduction into the multi-faceted ways of 'seeing the world through new eyes' that is Permaculture.  Putting permaculture into action enables us to grow more food, care for the Earth, and each other, and have a surplus to share!  Find out HOW!

3 sessions of 3 hours each on site at Stewart Creek Food Forest (directions will be provided upon registration).  Participatory style.  Questions encouraged and knowledge sharing welcome. 

Session 1, :

  • Introduction to the introduction! Setting the stage for our learning together
  • Permaculture Ethics, Care for the Earth
  • Permaculture Principles in action, the powers of observation and redundancy
  • Hands on discovery and activities

Session 2, 

  • Permaculture Ethics, Care of People
  • Permaculture Principles in action, 5 key ways of seeing & being: pattern language; energy systems; relative location; the value of edges; accept feedback and respond to change
  • Orienting to a landscape
  • Hands on discovery and activities

Session 3, 

  • Permaculture Ethics, Share the Surplus
  • Permaculture Principles in action, 5 more ways of being & seeing: obtain a yield; integrate/bring together; zero waste; recognize abundance; value diversity.
  • Designing & growing a plant Guild
  • Hands on discovery and activities
