Introduction to Growing Herbs

Join Meg Jordan of Restore Earth Connections as you discover the joys and benefits of growing your own culinary and medicinal herbs.  Meg grows over 40 varieties of annual and perennial herbs in Stewart Creek Food Forest at Yarrow Ecovillage Comunity Farm.  She loves to share her knowledge and experience with you!

We are thrilled to be offering this workshop in collaboration with Forage and Faire Apothecary in Abbotsford.  The workshop will be held at Forage and Faire  (2635 West Railway Ave).

Workshop Date: March 22, 2023 -- 7-9pm

  • Find out the differences between annual, perennial, short-lived perennial, and self-seeded herbs; and which of your favourite herbs are which!
  • Discover ways that various herbs are propogated (seeds, cuttings, layering, division) and how you can start your own.
  • Learn how and when to plant and harvest various herbs.
  • Sample teas and tinctures of various herbs, provided by Forage and Faire.
  • Go home with 2 herb plants and some seeds!
  • Get excited to plant, grow, and enjoy herbs that you grow yourself!

Maximum 12 participants.  Cost is $35 per person.
